Welcome to Sampson County Schools online application system for Student Enrollment, Student Reassignment & Student District Release.
YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:
1. Student Reassignment and Student District Release - If you live in the attendance area of one school and wish to request a transfer to a school other that the one in which you reside, you would select one of these options. There are Board policies that dictate the approval of all reassignment requests. Please note that the deadline for requesting Student Reassignments for the 2024-2025 school year will be on June 1st, 2024.
2. New Enrollment - If you are new to our school system and are requesting first time enrollment
Renewal - Renewal is for currently enrolled and returning students for Elementary, Middle and High Schools. This feature is a secure platform for families that already have student(s) enrolled and need to change, update or upload information to the school. You must sign in to an existing account or create a new one to use this feature.
All requests will be checked for accuracy. Any falsification of information may result in your request not being processed.

Reassignments opens February 1st, 2024, for the 2024-2025 school year.
Transfers WITHIN Sampson County Schools:
Our office is currently processing requests for Student Reassignments for the 2024-2025 school year. Our student reassignment application for internal transfers needs to be completed by June 1st, 2024.
Reassignments must be approved on an annual basis. Current and future approval of reassignments may or may not be granted due to overcrowding in the district or a particular school.
It is imperative that you meet this deadline. If you do not meet the June 1st, 2024 deadline, we may not be able to grant the reassignment. It may also delay notification until late summer.
We no longer grant same day reassignments in our office.
Transfers INTO Sampson County Schools:
On March 23, 2009 the Sampson County Board of Education revised Board policy (4135) regarding tuition. This policy became effective the 2010-2011 school year. Please note the amount is slightly different this year due to an increase in the per pupil allocation funded by commissioners.
- The principal’s approval is required.
- A payment of $1,317 tuition per child is required for students living outside of Sampson County. Checks should be made payable to Sampson County Schools.
- Students transferring from the Clinton City School district are required to pay $150 per family.
- A release from the sending system is required.
All payments are due by July 18, 2024 in order to process. If payments are not processed by the start of school, that student’s schedule will be dropped.
If you reside outside of the Sampson County System, it is your responsibility to obtain a release from the system in which you reside. We cannot approve the reassignment without the release.
Student District RELEASES from Sampson County Schools:
Our office is currently processing student reassignment release requests for the 2024-2025 school year. Per board policy, our student reassignment application for releases need to be completed and returned to our office by June 1, 2024.
**Please Note:
Our Board of Education policies dictate the approval and denial of all reassignment requests. If your reassignment is denied, there is a Board appeals process that parents can request to complete. The Board of Education will hold in-person appeals during the months of June and July. Failure to comply with the above deadlines may affect the appeals process if the reassignment is not granted.
NEW Student Enrollment:
Sampson County Schools is offering the option for parents to enroll NEW students through an online platform – ScribEnroll. This enables parents to upload required enrollment documents via a secure platform. This new enrollment option is ONLY for students who reside in-district or have been pre-approved through our reassignment process.
